We especially liked the fact that it can be used for infants when you purchase a separate Newborn Pack. The telescoping handlebars are easy to adjust and can be set up for different heights. The stroller is packed with storage space, including a large front pocket and an under-seat basket that has a zipper that can hold 12.5 pounds.

While this stroller isn't the cheapest in our tests, it does have many features that are suitable for parents. It comes completely assembled, has an easy-to-use recline mechanism, and can fit in the overhead bins on most aircrafts. Its only downside is that it doesn't have a leg rest to help your child and the storage space is less than our other strollers that are lightweight choices.

Easy to Fold

Depending on the model that you choose, lightweight strollers can fold up into a variety of shapes and sizes. A few of our top choices are easy to fold with one hand procedure, while others feature a reclined seat with multiple positions or an extended canopy that shields your child from the elements and sun. Another great stroller for travel is the UPPAbaby G-Luxe, which folds into a triangular form and is as compact as a backpack for babies. It has enough storage for a weekender bag as well as a diaper bag and an extra pocket for the back. There are two parent cupholders. The only drawback is that the G-Luxe isn't equipped with an entire recline and doesn't come with a carry strap that is convenient However, it's an excellent choice for families on the go.

When it is time to fold and carry, it doesn't get much more compact than the Cybex Libelle. The stroller folds down into a rectangle that's as small as a passport, so it's able to fit easily into backpacks or purses. It can also be rolled down airplane aisles and is an excellent choice for gate-checking or cabin storage, although it may not fit into the more compact overhead compartments of smaller planes.

It is easy to carry

Lightweight strollers not just take up less space in your car but they are also easy to store and transport with a carrier. This makes them perfect for families on the go. Some fold down as tiny as an umbrella so you can put them into the corner of your trunk, or in your diaper bag when not using them. Some have a handle and some have straps that are padded and can be worn over your shoulder.

They might not roll as smoothly as full-size strollers with bigger tires and more serious suspensions, but they're a great option for maneuvering in tight spaces like airport terminals or narrow streets on public transport. They can be used on rough terrain, such as cobblestones or sandy beaches. However your child is likely to get more bruises and bumps than a stroller of the same size that is equipped with a strong suspension system.

The Minu stroller from UPPAbaby is a fantastic example of a lightweight stroller that provides a lot of functions for the price. Its suspension is able to handle rough terrain. It has a decent canopy however it's not as spacious than our top pick. The recline feature is simple to use. However, it doesn't fold as compactly as the Yoyo2 or Munchkin Sparrow and weighs more than the Bugaboo Butterfly, so you may need to gate-check it on flights. It does come with an innovative feature, however it has a retractable footrest that doubles as an handle when the stroller is folded.

Contours Quick Elite is another great option. It can fit 30 different car seat models (adapter required) or a child as big as 50 pounds. It's not as light as some of our top options, but it's compact when folded. It also comes with a large under-seat basket big enough to fit an entire backpack.
