Hades 2 - Sign Up For a Playtest

Developer Supergiant Games' 2020 roguelike Hades is getting its sequel. It's an ambitious move that increases the stakes while offering a deeper insight into family politics.

Melinoe is back to kill Chronos the titan of time. On her way, she will encounter new gods, including the personifications of the light Apollo and witchcraft goddess Hecate, along with the deity of revenge Nemesis.

1. Hades 2 Technical Test

It's worth to sign up for a technical test if you are a fan of Supergiant and their Roguelike 2020 Hades. The studio says its Early Access launch is on the near future, and a playtest will help them to iron out any bugs with the game's smaller player base than the full 1.0 release.

The new game revolves around Melinoe's journey into the Underworld to save her family. Supergiant has also redesigned the gameplay in the early access build. This has reduced some of the work required to obtain certain upgrades and makes it easier to move between zones. There's still plenty of work to be completed before the game can be released full release however, the studio has made it clear that it wants to make the most of user feedback and continue to fine-tune Hades 2 to a perfect state.

Supergiant is known for its ability to listen to its fans, and address any issues that might arise. This is evident in the way that it dealt with the early-access release of Hades 2 It may be some time before the final version launches, but it already feels worthy of a place on your gaming shelf along with its predecessor.

3. Hades 2 Beta

Hades was a roguelike like any other when it came out in the year of 2018. The game received numerous awards and is regarded as one of the greatest games ever created. With its deep story that is rooted in Greek mythology, stories of struggles between families and LGBTQ+ representation that feels organic and inclusive, it's no surprise that it resonated with so many people. In addition to these returning features, the test also adds a few new ones too. You can unlock permanent upgrades for Melinoe and a brand new weapon. You'll also be able manage witchy frightened creatures, unravel secrets at the Arcana Altar, and gather agents that can boost your abilities.

The most striking enhancement is likely Omega attacks, which are a new method of powering up your weapons and spells. By using these attacks you can increase your magick meter and unleash devastating strikes with massive area of effect. This is a novel method to add more variety to the action of combat.

The beta version of Hades 2 is available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Supergiant has promised that they will keep their fans informed as they work towards a 1.0 release by 2024. In the meantime, you can make a wishlist for the game on either platform to be informed when it goes live.

4. Hades 2 Release Date

Hades 2 is now available in early access on PC after a successful test.
